We are very proud of our team of reading partners. Many have been going into school for several years.

We choose people who are passionate about reading, who have a confident manner, lots of patience and a natural empathy with young people. Many of our volunteers see their role as a kind of ‘reading mentor’; they want to share their love of books with the children that they work with.     

Reading partners are visited annually in school by our support staff, who are always available for help and advice. There is a regular newsletter, and every term there is a meeting where books can be changed and ideas can be discussed.
